As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior and have covenanted with him through baptism to live his gospel and keep his commandments. I know that Jesus Christ, God and Creator, came to this earth where he suffered and died in atonement for my sins and the sins of all mankind. After three days he rose again in glory, paving the way for all beings on earth to be resurrected. I am deeply humble and grateful to my Savior for his mercy and sacrifice on my behalf. I'm dedicating this page to accounts of my spiritual life and my relationship to my Savior. For more information about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints click HERE. |

Easter is my favorite holiday. The celebration of the savior's resurrection
is a joyous occasion coinciding with all the symbols of spring and new life.
I'm glad to know that through the savior's atonement, death, and
resurrection, I and my loved ones can expect a day of resurrection and
uniting. My grandmother died last February. We were very close, and I miss
her. But I know she's waiting for me on the other side, and we will see each
other again. That is so totally awesome. March 12, 2009 Temples For those interested in learning more about the Mormon temples. Here's a great video up on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/mormonmessages
February 27, 2009 Giving Service Yesterday I worked a shift at the church's pasta plant. Pasta from this plant is shipped around the world to help hungry and suffering people. Now I have to admit as a full time author I'm used to working on my own cushy time schedule. Write when I want. Take breaks when I want. Eat when I want. I am so NOT used to working at a factory job. Lucky for me it was only a four hour shift. I might have died otherwise. I got to be the lucky person that worked on the mac and cheese line. I got to stuff the cheese packets into the little boxes as they trundled much too quickly past me on the machine. Good news. I only dropped two packets on the floor and completely creamed two boxes in four hours. My back, arms, and shoulders have seldom hurt so bad though. To keep going I had to tell myself over and over, "Hungry families. Hungry children. Good cause. I'm doing the Lord's work here." LOL. All in all it was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad I took time out of my too busy schedule to give this kind of service. |
